Geographic Characteristics
Fan made detailed map of Tal'dorei and Wildemount, via West Haberlein. Fan made political map of Tal'dorei and Wildemount, by West Haberlein. Borders are approximate. Continents Tal'Dorei: A northern continent[5] which incorporates the Republic of Tal'Dorei, in addition to the elven realm of Syngorn, the Dwarven stronghold of Kraghammer, the city-state of Whitestone and, a ways to the south, the Hobgoblin empire of Tz'arrm. Issylra: A continent northwest of Tal'Dorei that comprises the region of Othanzia,[6] which includes Vasselheim and Pyrah. Marquet: A southern continent made up of approximately 30% mountainous[7] and 70% barren region areas[8], there are few bastions of civilization to be discovered aside from Ank'Harel. The Shattered Teeth: Not technically a continent, this archipelago of forty-three islands lies southeast of Tal'Dorei, beyond a fog bank referred to as the "Fool's Curtain".[9] Wildemount: Located to the east of Tal'Dorei, this continent accommodates the trade orientated Clovis Concord to the west alongside the Menagerie Coast, the austere Dwendalian Empire inside of Western Wynandir, and the secretive Kryn Dynasty in Eastern Wynandir.Oceans Frigid Depths: The cold ocean to the north of Issylra, Tal'Dorei, and Wildemount. Lucidian Ocean: An infinite ocean to the south-east of Tal'Dorei and south of Wildemount, containing the Shattered Teeth. Ozmit Sea: The sea setting apart Tal'Dorei from Issylra and Marquet to its west.UnderdarkThe Underdark is a vast subterranean region that exists underneath the continents of Exandria. A dark and antagonistic position, the Underdark is nearly a global unto itself, with civilizations, monsters, politics, economies, and threats that may engage most effective sporadically or not directly with the surface world.[10] Notably, the Underdark has vital connections to the Far Realm, from which many aberrations emerge.
Satellites
Fan artwork of Catha and Ruidus (cropped from a bigger image), by Sakyora.[art 1]Exandria has two moons,[11][2][12] named Catha and Ruidus.[13]
CathaCatha is similar in appearance to Earth's Moon, even though it is nearer to Exandria and looks better within the sky.[12] It has a 33-day cycle all over which it waxes and wanes.[14]
RuidusRuidus appears smaller in Exandria's sky because of its further distance from the planet, and its reddish-purple, maroon-brown color contributes to a dimmer glow.[12] Lycanthropy is relatively unaffected via this moon in comparison to the closer moon.[15] It has a very gradual orbit, taking a complete year (328 days) for a revolution, and is visible for roughly part of the 12 months.[16] Myths and rumors about Ruidus abound. Some imagine it to be both pre-creation from when the weather themselves have been consuming all of Exandria. Others believe it is going to have no longer originally existed, but was a creation of the Betrayer Gods, and used to be some form of long-running mysterious plot that was minimize brief all the way through the end of the Calamity.[17] There is a standard belief in more than a few cultures throughout Exandria of it being an entity of ill-omen.
Languages
Many different languages are spoken across Exandria. Common is probably the most extensively spoken amongst humanoids, though maximum races even have their own language.
